Kaitlin Bednarz, MS, CCC/SLP
Kaitlin received her Bachelor of Science in Speech-Language Pathology from Texas Christian University and her Master of Science in Speech-Language Pathology from the University of North Texas. Currently, she is completing a doctoral degree at Northwestern University and is our teletherapy provider.
She has pediatric experience from university clinics, private practice, and public-school settings. She has treated a variety of ages and disorders such as: Autism, intellectual disabilities, receptive and expressive language disorders, articulation disorders, and fluency (stuttering) disorders. She also has experience in Augmentative and Alternative Communication (AAC) including LAMP Words for Life, Proloquo2Go, Choice Board, PECS, and Tobii Dynavox programs. Kaitlin is a LAMP certified Professional through the Center for AAC and Autism. In addition, she recently presented at the ASHA Convention in 2021 on "Setting the Stage to Provide Effective Teletherapy Using LAMP Words for Life".
Kaitlin believes in a trust-based intervention based on individual needs, parent education to carryover strategies at home, and client motivation. Throughout her experiences she has collaborated with occupational therapists, teachers, and applied behavior analysis therapists
Kaitlin currently resides in Maryland providing teletherapy for Jump Start. She enjoys working out, reading, traveling, and spending time with family and friends.
