Alicia received both her Bachelor of Science and her Master of Science from the University of Nebraska at Omaha in Speech Language Pathology. She has over 20 years of experience working extensively with pediatric populations. Alicia holds her Certificate of Clinical Competence and is a certified member of the American Speech-Language Hearing Association.
Alicia has worked in a variety of settings including outpatient clinics, private practices, Early Intervention, Head Start programs and schools. She has additional training with the Speech EZ Apraxia Program, Picture Exchange Communication System (PECS), Therapeutic Listening Program, and Augmentative and Alternative Communication. Throughout her career, Alicia coached and trained early childhood teachers, provided language and literacy seminars, co-created a Read and Play program for at risk families and was awarded a Family Dollar Literacy grant.
Alicia enjoys collaborating with families and is passionate about helping children gain the knowledge and skills to be successful communicators throughout life. She enjoys spending time with her family and traveling.
